So today was a day of little unexpected events or moments. I learned patience. I learned that being where you are is where you are supposed to be. I was scheduled for a for a shoot, and as many shoots go, the client was a little late. I get it … You need to get ready and look good. A lot of times that takes longer than you think. We had a great shoot! That was all that mattered.
More importantly … What occurred after was what really made me think. Connor had some concerns about missing church so Peg and I worked out a plan to ease his concerns. We found another church and ended driving a little bit of a distance to get there in bad traffic in two cars. Bottom line……Connor felt better. I learned I was where I was supposed to be, even though the day was not supposed to go that way. We ended going for lunch and enjoying time as a family. I also was reminded I needed to buy something at Target simply by driving by. The original plan did not involve me being anywhere near Target.
So I guess my insights today are just live in the moment. Try to realize that what is happening is what is supposed to be happening and enjoy it. Everything else will get its time when it is supposed to.
