I recently had two different high-volume headshot jobs. One for the Wright Center in Scranton and one for CanPack in Olyphant. The overall purpose was the same… Create Headshots for many members of the organization. What made them unique to each other was one was inside while the other was outside. They both wanted consistency but also a slightly different feel.
When photographing the doctors from the Wright Center we used their branding colors in the background and some studio lighting while we were in a hotel conference room.
Where CanPack preferred a more "business casual" feel by having the photos done outside. We found a nice spot in the parking lot where the wooded area would be our background. I still controlled the light but in a different way. Do you have a preference? Which would work for your branding needs???
